Orrin Kuehn is the Class C State Champion at 150!!! This is the first individual state champion for the Whippets since 2014 and the 6th in school history!!! Congratulations Hank!!! Other medalist at the state tournament included Logan Choquette 4th, Cade Harsin 6th, Koltdyn Heath 3rd, and Braxton Janda 4th!!! A top five team finish!!! Well done Whippet Wrestlers!!!
Minden High School will host the C1-5 girls basketball District Final on Friday February 23rd! The Whippets are the #5 seed and we will play the #12 seed Milford Eagles. Game time is set for 7:00pm and doors will open to the public at 6pm. The game will be streamed on the Whippet Nation Network on YouTube. REMINDER NO PASSES WILL BE ACCEPTED as this is a NSAA postseason event. The winner of this game qualifies for the State Tournament!! LETS PACK THE HOUSE ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

Job well done to the Whippet Girls Basketball team for defeating Holdrege in the C1-10 Sub District Final tonight 43-24!!! The Whippets now advance to the District Final for a birth in the State Tournament!! The District Final will take place on Friday February 23rd at a time and location TBD.

SPORTS UPDATE!!
1. Good luck to all of the Whippet boys and girls wrestling state qualifiers this weekend! The state tournament begins Thursday in Omaha. Our boys qualifiers wrestling the morning sessions on Thursday and Friday and our girls will wrestle the afternoon sessions.
2. The girls basketball team advances to the Sub District Final which will take place at Minden High School on Thursday 15th at 6:00 PM. We will play Holdrege High School with the winner advancing to the district final for a state tournament birth!

Minden High School hosts the C1-10 girls sub district basketball tournament on Tuesday and Thursday this week! On Tuesday the Whippets will play Kearney Catholic at 5:30 PM followed by Broken Bow vs Holdrege at 7:00 PM. The winners of these two games will play on Thursday at 6:00 PM. REMINDER, NO PASSES will be accepted including SWC, family, student, or golden age passes. As a NSAA post season event, admission is $6 for adults and $5 for students for all in attendance. GO WHIPPETS!!!
