JV football at Lexington is currently delayed due to lightning. The earliest kickoff will be at 6:15pm. If there continue to be delays that would push the start of the game much past 7pm then it will turn into a cancellation.

There has been a recent string of thefts from unlocked vehicles during Minden events and activities. This is a reminder to always LOCK your vehicles and take any valuables with you when attending events. Please report to the Minden Police Department if you notice suspicious activity during school activities.
Congrats to both Whippet Boys and Girls Cross Country teams on qualifying for state! Also a BIG thank you to the coaches, meet workers, and volunteers who helped us put on a high quality district meet!!!

The Lady Whippet golfers are State Runners Up!! Congrats on a fantastic season. Also, congratulations to Kara Suchsland on being the Class C individual State Champion as well as to Kaylynn Jorgensen on being the individual Runner Up. So much to be proud of!!!

Girls State Golf Delayed Start for Tuesday 15th.
On Tuesday October 15 the Class C Girls Golf Championships in North Platte at Lake
Maloney Golf Club will be delayed 1 Hour and 30 minutes due to the forecasted temperatures. Tee times start at 10:30 am.
MHS students had the opportunity to visit the University of Nebraska at Omaha on Thursday of last week to learn about what the metro area campus can offer a college student. It was a great day of learning about programs at UNO and a little about what a city campus looks like!

UNK hosted their first annual Educator Explorer Day on Tuesday, October 8. Eight Minden students attended this day to learn about becoming educators in their futures.
Come out and support the MHS Speech Team this evening at the Minden/Milford Football Game concession stand. Nebraskaland Aviation is supporting the school by helping us provide discount hotdogs this evening! Stand will be open for business at 6:00 p.m. See you at the game!

Harvest is starting, and we want everyone to be safe when coming and going from school. Make sure to give yourself time, pay attention to the road, and be aware of intersections on country roads. Please be careful and safe.

The Nebraska Speech Communication & Theatre Association recently awarded speech, play production, and debate teams with academic honors for the 2023-2024 season at their annual NSCTA convention in Kearney. These honors include achieving a team average of 3.5 cumulative GPA for academic achievement or a 3.7 team average cumulative GPA for academic achievement high distinction.
In play production, all members of the cast and crew of the school's play production team are included. Minden Play Production, which included 90 students, earned the NSCTA Academic Achievement Award with an average GPA of a 3.54. In speech team, all members of the district speech team are included. Minden had 18 students participate in district speech last year. Minden earned NSCTA Academic High Achievement in speech with an average GPA of a 3.87.
