
High School Track and Field Holdrege Invite - Friday March 28


Our Quiz Bowl team finished 4th today at the district competition in Holdrege. It was a fun day with several close matches. Great job team!





Nathan Althouse is the 2025 Nebraska Class B State Entertainment Speaking Champion! Congratulations also to Sam Cederburg for his 5th place finish in extemporaneous and Nathan Althouse for his 6th place finish in humorous prose. Minden finished 7th as a team! Go whippets!!!

UPDATE from the Nebraska Class B State Speech Meet. Minden has pushed 3 of 10 events on to the finals: Nathan Althouse in humorous prose & entertainment & Samuel Cederburg in extemporaneous! Go whippets! Awards will be broadcast on Nebraska Public Media sometime after 5:00 pm.

It was a fantastic day for the Marsh Beck Invite yesterday at Minden High School! Our kids performed well individually. The boys came away as team champions while the girls finished in 3rd. A big thank you to everyone who helped with this meet as well as the coaches! The link to full results is below.

Thank you for ensuring your juniors and sophomores arrived safely for our annual Pre-ACT and ACT Testing Day.
As a reminder, High school students will be released at 1:10 p.m. today.
This early release applies only to the high school—middle and elementary school students will be dismissed at their regular times.
Additionally, Minden High School is hosting the Marsh Beck Track Meet today.
Field events will begin at 2:30 p.m., and the 3200m Relay will start at 3:30 p.m.

Please welcome Victoria Anderson as the new MHS Cheer Coach! Victoria is currently on staff as a para educator at CLJ middle school and she is excited to take over the Cheer Coach role! Coach Anderson will be setting up times for tryouts in the near future. Congrats Coach Anderson!!


Congratulations to Allie Prososki as she will be the new Head Girls Basketball Coach at Minden High School!!
Coach Prososki will look to build upon the success reached during Coach Maulsby's tenure and she is excited for this opportunity. We are excited to support Coach Prososki as she works to build her program based on building strong relationships, pushing players past their comfort zone, and creating a positive environment from youth all the way through high school ages!

Congrats to the speech team for qualifying 10 events for the State Speech Meet! Shout out to N. Althouse - district champion in entertain! The top 3 finishers in each event head to state in Kearney on Wednesday of next week. Minden's results are attached.

NSAA District B5 Speech Update! Minden has pushed 19 of 20 events to the finals! Finals starting now. Top three in each event advance to state! Go whippets!

The District B5 Speech Meet at Gothenburg will now start at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 20. Speech team members should check email for information about the day.

Due to poor road conditions and dropping temperatures, MPS will have a 10:00 a.m. late start tomorrow. Please be careful and give yourself extra time. If you are not able to get to school tomorrow, please contact your school building.


Due to blizzard conditions in our area, MPS will not have school tomorrow, Wednesday, March 19th. There will be no evening activities. Please be safe; the weather service predicts poor road conditions and visibility issues for most of tomorrow morning into the afternoon.

District Speech at Gothenburg has been RESCHEDULED to Thursday March 20th due to the weather forecast for Wednesday. The meet will start at 9:00am on Thursday at Gothenburg High School.
