The boys basketball season comes to an end at the hands of a top 5 ranked Cozad squad 75-31. We are proud of this team for competing with pride and great effort all season!

Minden Speech had a fabulous weekend at two meets. Varsity headed to GI Northwest and earned 3rd as a team in a very competitive meet. N Althouse & S Cederburg were both event champs. Novice headed to the Red Raider Meet at Loup City and earned 3rd as a team as well!
The C1-3 District FInal matchup is set! Minden will host West Point Beemer for a trip to the Girls State Basketball Tournament. The District Final is set for Friday February 28th and the start time will be 7:00 pm. Doors will open to the public for entry at 6:00 pm. As a reminder, SWC and Minden Activity Passes are not honored at this NSAA post season event. Admission is $6 Adults and $5 Students. GO WHIPPETS!

Whippets are State Runners Up! We are so proud of their team achievement and how they carried themselves all season long! What a special group of kids!!
The Minden wrestlers currently sit in 1st as a team as we head into the medal rounds. Our kids have had an amazing tournament so far as they work towards the first team State Championship for wrestling in school history!!!
The Lady Whippets scored a great win over Holdrege last night in the C1-7 Sub District Final. Next up is the District Final on Friday the 28th and it will be here at home again!! The winner of the District Final qualifies for the state tournament! The opponent and start time is TBD.

REMINDER!! Girls Sub District basketball is at Minden HS tonight. Minden will play Fairbury at 5:00pm and Holdrege will play David City at 6:30pm. Admission is $6 for Adults and $5 for students and NO PASSES ARE ACCEPTED as this is an NSAA post season event.
We will have a 10:00 late start tomorrow Wednesday February 20th. We want to give everyone extra time with these extreme temperatures and road conditions.

Girls Sub District Basketball Reschedule NOTICE:
The 2nd round games originally scheduled for Tuesday the 18th will now be played on Wednesday the 19th. Minden will play Fairbury at 5:00pm and Holdrege will play David City at 6:30pm on Wednesday February 19th. The Sub District Final will remain scheduled for Thursday February 20th at 6:00pm. The NSAA requires that we finish sub district games by Friday of this week so we will keep Friday as a make up day if further postponements are needed.

Due to poor road conditions are snow removal MPS will have a 10:00 late start today, February 17th. No morning preschool.
Extreme Cold Watch is in effect from Monday through Thursday. A prolonged period of dangerously cold wind chills as low
as 15 to 30 degrees below zero is possible. Be safe, and if you need a ride, call your school building, and we can arrange a ride.
The girls and boys reserve basketball tournament at Wood River scheduled for today February 15th has been CANCELLED due to the weather conditions.
UPDATE: THE SPEECH MEET WILL NOT BE HELD TODAY due to the weather.
