The high school Book Club visited two independent bookstores in Lincoln on this beautiful fall day!
Minden High School CTSO's (FFA, FCCLA and FBLA) will be Trick-or-Treating for Food Pantry donations on Monday from 5:30 to 6:30. We will try to hit the entire town, and would appreciate any donations you are willing to share! See you then!
Parents of 4th & 5th grade students-
Our annual costume parade is on 10/31/2023 at 7:55 a.m. in the CLJ gym for 4th & 5th grade students. Please have students in their costumes and ready for the parade by 7:50 a.m. on 10/31. This is an optional, fun activity- If your child doesn't want to participate, that is okay. 6-8th grade students will watch the parade.

VOLLEYBALL DISTRICT FINAL OFFICIAL UPDATE:
The C1-2 District Final will start at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Minden will play Columbus Scotus for a trip to the big dance in Lincoln! Teammates has generously offered to cover admission for all Minden Public School Students to this game. Just have the students check in at the Teammates Table at the downstairs front entrance of the high school. We do ask that all students in grades K-6 be accompanied by an adult. The game will be streamed on the Whippet Nation Youtube channel as well as the following radio broadcasts: KLIR 101 will broadcast the Minden vs Scotus game ( www.mycentralnebraska.com).

Also, Minden High School is hosting the C1-6 Volleyball District Final at 3:30 PM between Ogallala and Pierce. In order to respect their game, we would ask that Minden fans leave to provide room for the Ogallala and Pierce fans and students at the conclusion of our game and awards ceremony. Once all of the spectators from the other two schools have entered, those of you who want to watch the second game may re-enter and sit where there is room.

Unfortunately, due to the timing of the sub-state game on Saturday, October 28th and state volleyball beginning on Wednesday, November 1st, orders for state t-shirts will be have to placed before we even know if we made it to state. Orders are due Wednesday, October 25th, at 11:59 p.m. I really don't like doing it this way, but due to logistics it is a must. If we were to lose the sub-state game, BSN will refund all money. We are so thankful for all of the support shown to our team throughout this season. Today is the BIG ONE! The Lady Whippet Volleyball team ranked #1 and 32-0 host #2 ranked and 28-2 Kearney Catholic in the C1-10 Sub District Final at 7pm. This may very well be the last opportunity to see our team play at home this season. We hope to see everyone tonight for the premier game in the state!!!
The volleyball team is ready to go tonight. We play Holdrege at 7:30 in Minden. We have received some awesome support today. Thank you to Abby and Maddy Widdifield for the awesome sign and thank you to whomever provided us with the box of treats and balloons. We are so grateful for the support. Congratulations to our Teammates of The Week for the last two weeks. Sophie Birkestrand nominated Gracie Fries for being a great partner during defensive moves and for being so funny. Bella Reed nominated Sylvia Schmidt for all that she does for our team. Great job girls!! 💜💜

CLJMS Whippet Pack Families discussed the importance of teamwork during today's "family meeting". Groups stood on blankets & had to work together to flip a blanket over without anyone getting off of it (feet had to stay on the blankets). What a great way to start the week!
