Mrs.McDowell's class has been working hard on composing paragraphs on early american civilizations. Students have been learning to paraphrase notes from their readers to develop the components of a paragraph.

Third graders learned about animals inside and out through the Nebraska Extension.








Minden Bandfest is coming up this Saturday! A record 43 schools will be participating in the parade at 1:00 PM on Brown Ave. Be sure to watch the CLJMS and MHS bands and stop by the band boosters food stand for some lunch! The field show competition will start around 3:00 or 3:30


Ms. Wippel's plant science and natural resources classes traveled to White Hill Cemetery today to help plant trees. They planted 10 trees that were received through a grant.






Sixth graders are busy learning about Impressionism art (and ballet moves) with Mrs. Rosno today!



National Honor Society members start mornings off at East Elementary greeting students. Starting our days with big kids our littles look up to as positive role models is just the best! Thank you NHS!

District Cross Country at Hastings has been rescheduled due to the weather forecast for Thursday. The meet will now take place on Wednesday October 11th.

2023 Middle School Cross Country Season is in the book as we closed out an incredible season at the State Middle School Championship at Papillion La Vista South High School today.
We first attended this meet in the fall of 2013 and have medaled every single year. Today was just an exceptional showing by the 15 athletes that competed today from CL Jones Middle School!
