This morning, MPS was notified of a potential situation in town. The Minden Police Department notified the school, and we went into our "secure" protocol for about 15 minutes today. During the secure protocol, our students and staff are required to remain inside the building. However, business continued as usual until the all-clear was communicated to staff.
Daily, our doors remain locked throughout the school day. As a reminder, our school and local law enforcement agencies are in constant communication as a means to keep our students safe. We appreciate all that MPD does for us, and knowing that our kids and staff are safe.

All students learned bus safety procedures from Mr. Chad and Mr. Travis today. 🚌

Before and After School Pick-up: Working with MPD, we have some concerns about the pick-up and drop-off process at CLJ. Attached is a map and directions on what we need parents to do when coming to the school in the mornings and afternoons. We need everyone to be safe. Give yourself some extra time and look out for students coming and going from school.

When the start of the kindergarten day looks this amazing 🤩

K-12 students will be starting school on Wednesday, August 13th. This is a reminder that we will have several young drivers and buses back on the road. Please be careful around intersections, both in town and out on gravel roads. Be safe, and give yourself time.

Reminder: August 13th is our first day of school-hooray! Doors are unlocked at 7:30 and the school day begins at 8:05. Please arrive before 8:00 if your child needs breakfast. Staff members will be at the doors greeting and helping kids get to their "start their day" places. Dismissal will begin around 31:15 but official school end time is at 3:20. Please send a filled water bottle with your kiddo to school each day. We're excited for an awesome first day!

Meet your teacher, take back to school photos, tour the school, and drop off your school supplies...
