Mrs. Oertle's Agribusiness class delivered the 660lbs of canned goods collected by FBLA,FCCLA, and FFA to The Closet. While there they stayed a little longer to help sort other donations!
7th-8th grade girls basketball and boys wrestling are nicely started with their season! These teams are working hard developing their skills and relationships preparing for their first contests! Go Whippets!

Here is the link for ordering state volleyball shirts. We really hate doing this, but the timing of substate and state just isn't conducive for ordering state shirts after our game on Saturday. A little team building before our games tonight - "It Takes Many Hands to Make Something Great"!! They were given a series of statements (example - someone that makes you laugh), and they had to place a hand on the person that reminded of that statement. We are so blessed to be able to work with this group of kids each and every day. Love them!! 💜🏐💜

Congratulations to Mattie Kamery on being selected as one of the 48 state-wide recipients of the NSAA Believers and Achievers Award!
Beginning in November and continuing through April, the 48 Nebraska high school seniors listed below will be honored as Believers & Achievers. From those 48 statewide winners, eight will receive $500 scholarships from Currency to use for the college or university of their choice at a scholarship banquet to be held in April of 2025. These 48 students will be recognized at NSAA State Championships throughout the 2024-25 activities year and on a poster sent to all NSAA member schools. All of the students nominated for the Believers & Achievers awards program represent the very best of Nebraska’s high schools and are considered local school winners. A complete list of the local school winners for the 2024-25 activities year is available on the NSAA website.
The MHS Band is coming home with a SUPERIOR rating from the NSBA State Marching Contest! What a phenomenal way to end the marching band season!
Thank you to those that drove to Broken Bow to support us at the Southwest Conference Tournament yesterday. Things obviously didn't go as we had hoped. Rest assured we are taking this time to learn from our loss, to reset and work on the things that will propel us forward in the post-season. Minden VB defeated Valentine in straight sets but lost in straight sets to Gothenburg and will play for 3rd in SWC later today.
