Some may argue that the 3rd and 4th place match doesn’t matter. I disagree. Our kids came to play today despite yesterday’s loss. North Bend Central has a very nice team, but our girls decided they wanted to finish today with a win. Very proud of their fire and determination in this game. I couldn’t have have asked for anymore. I asked them earlier this week what their favorite memory of the season was. Most of them shared stories of team bonding or something fun with a teammate. Some of them shared winning games or being at state. Winning is awesome, but the journey is what matters and what an incredible ride it was. A dream team of sorts. Yes, we had some stress, but this group of kids always figured it out just like today. Love them more than they will ever know. Can’t wait to see them competing in their next activity or sporting event. Thank you for all the love shown to us this season Whippet Nation. You are a class act. Thank you also to our 5 seniors for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to this team during the last 4 years. Thank you to this group of coaches and to Sylvia, our student assistant. I couldn’t have done it without you. You are simply the best!! Lastly, thanks to Tony. He is always doing whatever this team needs, and they love him. It was an absolutely awesome day to be a Whippet!!
