What a fantastic day of wrestling for the Lady Whippets! We went to the Axtell Invite and finished 2nd (by 12 points) to #5 Grand Island, including five individual champions in Myia Hofaker, Sonny Sowles, Aliena Osterbuhr, Milly Jacobsen, and Savannah Koch. We also set new school records for team points and individual champions in a single tournament!

**The JV girls game vs. Central City will only be 3 quarters.
Tuesday, Dec 20
**There will be NO JV girls game due to low Gibbon numbers. The boys JV, girls varsity, and boys varsity will all be played in the hs gym.
Basketball Schedule Correction: The high school basketball games on Thursday December 15th are girls only, NO BOYS GAMES. Girls JV starts at 4:30pm and the girls varsity starts at 6:00pm. Both games will be played in the high school gym.
It’s concert week! Middle School on Tuesday and High School on Friday. Don’t want to cook supper on Friday? Come out to the high school commons from 5:00-6:30PM for a free will donation spaghetti meal. Money raised supports the bands and choirs.
Saturday’s girls wrestling tournament at the Heartland Events Center requires tickets to be ordered online at the link below. The events center also has a clear bag policy.

Circle of Friends We will be going to Kearney on Thursday, December 15th to shop for the Caring Tree and Food Pantry. We will also eat lunch at Perkins. We will leave at 9:45 am and return around 1:15 pm. Please bring $5.00 for lunch. Make sure you touch base with your teachers to see what you will miss. Let a sponsor know if you won't be able to attend or have any questions.
Congratulations Congratulations to the Play Production Team for placing 3rd in class B at the state meet Friday. In addition, seven students were honored with acting awards: Ian Sinsel, Evan Porter, Bailey Rogers, Mattie Kamery, Tucker Robinson, Grace Lee, & Sara Shirley. Grace Lee was also chosen as the best female performer in Class B. Our tech/set crew also placed 2nd in the tech award.
For an FCCLA STAR project members are holding a book drive. They are looking for lightly used children's books. The book drive will start Thursday December 8th and end December 22. You can drop books off in the office.
Minden FCCLA is hosting a school supply drive from Dec 7-Dec 21. Please donate new or gently used items to help teachers and student restock for the new semester. Donations can be taken to the high school office. To see items needed, please visit any Minden social media or posters around the school.
SADD CLUB SUPPLY DRIVE Please consider bringing packages of toilet paper, dishwashing detergent, laundry soap, or other supplies to donate to SADD Club's Supply Drive for Crossroads Mission in Kearney. Drop off before school or at lunch by the counseling office.
Everyone is invited to a free will donation spaghetti supper and silent auction this Friday from 5:00-6:30 PM in the HS Commons. The choir and band concert will follow the meal at 7:00 PM
Pilot Training The University of Nebraska at Kearney is offering Free Private Pilot Ground School for High School Students in the spring semester. Classes will be on Sunday afternoons at the Kearney Airport. If you would be interested in participating, please stop by the counseling office OR email Mr. Horner for more information!

The Linguistics 8 class is inviting speakers into the classroom to discuss the importance of communication in careers, life events, hobbies, & adult interactions. Last week, we were lucky enough to host Adam Waite, a graphic designer & a drummer.

I would like to congratulate our most recent postseason football award winners. The Kearney Hub All-Region Football Team recipients were First Team Offense: Daulton Kuehn. First Team Defense: Caden Bradley, Bronson Glanzer, and Carter Harsin. Second Team Offense: Rylan Holsten, Seth Hauserman, Brycen Schwenka, and Daniel Eagle-Elk. Second Team Defense: Austin Luktemeier, Braiden Schroeder, and Jake Ryan.
We are planning on a regular start time tomorrow. We will call as early as possible if there is a change to the school day. There are areas that could be slick. If you feel it is not safe please call your school and let them know. Give yourself extra time and space. Be safe.
TeamMates breakfast is postponed tomorrow due to not knowing what the weather will be. We will let everyone know as soon as we have a new date.
12/8 Activity Update: The 7th and 8th grade girls basketball games scheduled for today have been cancelled and were not able to be rescheduled. The High School Wrestling dual vs. Wood River has been postponed. We are working to find a date to reschedule the wrestling dual.
Due to the hazardous roads and the change in the weather, Minden Public Schools will not have school today. Be safe, as roads are becoming slick quickly.
